A new poster has been unveiled for the Iranian movie ‘Villa Residents’ (Vilaieha), directed by Munir Gheidi.
The new poster, designed by Ali Faravardeh, was revealed at Tehran’s Farabi Cinema Foundation on Monday.
The movie, directed by Gheidi and produced by Saeid Malekan, chronicles events facing wives of Iran army commanders at the time of the Iraq-imposed war on Iran. It is filmed in residential villas for army forces in southern Iran and set in Persian calendar years between 1362 and 1363 (over 30 years ago).
As her first feature film, Gheidi worked as a script supervisor as well as assistant director on several other films. She also made short films such as ‘The Girl, the Boy and the Old Man’ and ‘On the Way to the Villa’.
‘Vilaieha’ has won three Chrystal Simorgh Awards at the 35th Fajr Film Festival, including Crystal Simorgh for Best Supporting Actress for Soraya Ghasemi, Crystal Simorgh for Bright Talent for Munir Gheidi and Crystal Simorgh for Best Visual Effects for Mehdi Ghasemi.
